JDG Collision & Restoration Center LLC, originally known as Guzzo Paint & Body, was established in 1984 by Rusty Guzzo in Trinidad, Colorado. After completing 4 years of Auto Body studies in high school, Rusty furthered his education at Trinidad State College, where he earned his degree in Auto Body Repair & Painting, along with certifications in Welding and I-Car. For 30 years, Rusty operated Guzzo Paint & Body, achieving numerous awards and accolades. He completed over 100 full restorations, alongside collision work and contracts with the oil fields and their equipment. This dedication earned Guzzo Paint & Body the title of best paint for three consecutive years at Good Guys for their exceptional work on custom vehicles. One of his notable restorations for Speedway Bill can still be found in a museum, along with many others showcased at car shows throughout the state. In late 2025, Rusty and his family relocated to the Aurora, Colorado area to expand JDG Automotive and provide his award-winning paint and restoration services to customers in Northern Colorado, including those seeking car repair in Aurora, CO, as well as options like JDG Auto Body and JDG Auto Collision.

Completing over 100 full restorations, along with collision and contracts involving the oil fields and their equipment, Guzzo Paint & Body earned the title of best paint for three consecutive years at Good Guys for their exceptional work on custom vehicles. One of the notable restorations was for Speedway Bill, whose vehicle is still showcased in a museum, alongside many of his restorations that continue to be seen at car shows throughout the state. In 2021, Rusty opened JDG Auto Collision LLC, named in honor of his late son, Jeffery Daniel Guzzo, who passed away in 2014. The vehicles he has restored since launching this new JDG automotive brand have consistently won awards like best paint and best show at various car shows. Back in the 80's, car repair in Trinidad, CO was a different ballgame. You wrote estimates on a scratch pad, looked up OEM parts in a book from the dealership, and the paint and repair processes were much different than today. Rusty can tell you all about it, having been in the business for so long! He never stopped with collisions and restorations; he would blast and paint historic monuments, buildings, and even old equipment. When the pipeline was booming, Rusty and his crew at JDG Automotive repaired and painted every piece of equipment you could imagine! He is one of the few people still doing fiberglass work, having painted and repaired boats and RVs. In 2021, he wanted to keep evolving in this new era, and he did just that!
